Let time move slowly as you watch one of Canada’s great rivers roll on. Located near the Petrofka Bridge and accessed by road to the Boat Launch where parking is available. Follow the trail down to waters edge and explore the seemingly endless beach down river (dependent on water levels). This rugged landscape and sacred waters have been travelled since time immemorial by Indigenous Peoples and later explorers. Throw a line in and catch lunch, relax on the sand and explore the natural beauty around you. The serene waters are sure to leave you feeling at ease.

Note: Large rivers such as the North Saskatchewan are known to have strong currents. Swim with caution.
Northbound on Hwy 12: Cross Petrofka Bridge and take the immediately next right turn, keep right and drive past Petrofka Orchard towards river and boat launch.
Southbound on Hwy 12: Take left turn to Petrofka Orchard before the Petrofka Bridge, keep right and drive past Petrofka Orchard towards river and boat launch.

This sight is off the beaten path and as such that unbeaten path is subject to impassible conditions. Though easily travelled in fair weather, we advise not touring this sight in severe rainy or severe winter weather. If it begins to rain after arrival please consider leaving as soon as possible or the roads may become too muddy for travel.
