Honeywood Heritage Nursery in Redberry Lake Biosphere Region

Honeywood Heritage Nursery

Honeywood Heritage Nursery was founded by Dr A. J. Porter in 1934. Dr Porter was known world-wide for the development of over 30 varieties of lilies and the hybridizing of plants that would be of high quality, disease resistant and hardy for the prairies. Declared a Provincial Heritage Site in 2007, the nursery includes specialty gardens, orchards, lily fields, walking or wagon tours, picnic areas, a museum and a new gift shop. Browse through the garden centre which offers a variety of plants, annuals and perennials for sale.
