Thank you and welcome! We can’t wait to provide an amazing experience to you. There’s just a few things to get in order first.  Please read through the following disclaimer and checklist. Please then complete the registration form at the bottom of this page for each participant and upload a signed waiver available here: Waiver & Release

Disclaimer:

This experience is all about getting up close and personal with nature, however given the nature of… nature, we can’t guarantee that you will get up close to any live animals or birds.

Bird Banding requires considerable training and you must be certified both Federally and Provincially.  You will be shown this process from a certified bird bander, however you will not actually be banding or handling any birds.

Our number one priority is your health and safety.  Our second, is the bird’s.

We love these creatures and want to make this experience amazing for you, and as painless as possible for the birds.  Please follow the guide’s lead and remain calm while you are in the vicinity of live birds. This includes no sudden movements, no loud sounds, and keeping your distance.

There will be an opportunity to get a closer look. Be patient and wait for the guide’s permission.

No pets are allowed during the experience or near the banding space.

There are other critters around that you should be mindful of including deer and dog ticks, bears and cougars. Duct tape is your best defense against ticks (youtube it). Our guide will go over procedures for dealing with Bears and Cougars prior to your experience.

In the event of an emergency, our guide is trained in First Aid and CPR. They have a First Aid Kit on their person and there are other kits located across the site. These will be pointed out to you at the start of your experience. Muster points will also be communicated along with our full emergency procedure prior to the commencement of the experience.
