Support Local

As part of our mandate the Redberry Lake Biosphere Reserve supports and implements initiatives that relate to conservation, sustainable economic development and capacity building on a local, provincial, national and international level.

One initiative was to set up a Community Farmer’s Market offering residents within the Biosphere Reserve to sell their locally grown and made goods. In 2013 the Community Farmer’s Market evolved to the “Redberry Regional Farmer’s Market”, an approved Market under the Saskatchewan Farmers’ Market Co-operative (SFMC). The Biosphere Reserve is now looking to hand this initiative over to an interested community group or individual. Contact or 306-549-4060 for more information.
